DESCRIPTION:The American Alumni Association (AAA) organized a Brain Gain public awareness event on “Cancer & Palliative Care” on October 12\, 2019\, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and World Hospice & Palliative Care Day. The event featured distinguished medical professionals Prof. Dr. Nezamuddin Ahmad of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and Prof. Dr. A.K. Goodman of Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. \nThe session focused on raising awareness about cancer care\, palliative care\, and the importance of improving quality of life for patients and their families. The speakers shared valuable medical and professional perspectives on cancer treatment\, supportive care\, and the role of compassionate healthcare in addressing the needs of patients facing serious illness. \nThe event provided an important platform for public awareness\, knowledge sharing\, and meaningful dialogue between healthcare professionals and participants. It also highlighted the value of bringing together expertise from Bangladesh and the United States to address important public health issues. \nAAA extends its sincere appreciation to Prof. Dr. Nezamuddin Ahmad and Prof. Dr. A.K.
